My roots tap down in Iowa City, IA. A portion of my childhood was spent in England, where my dad is from, with the majority spent in Iowa. I am one of four kids - old and younger brothers and an identical twin sister. I am fortunate to have a very supportive and loving family. We grew up traveling, working on projects, volunteering our time in our community, and being very active.
I stuck around Iowa to attended the University of Iowa where I graduated with a BSE and BA and a minor in Global Health Studies. My BSE is in Civil Engineering and Sustainability, and my BA is in Studio Art. All three are important to who I am and what I want to offer the world - infrastructure solutions that address public health concerns, in a creative way. And art encourages the creative mindset, as well as internal processing. I delved further into the internal processing and self-healing arena by picking up Yoga and Healing Touch. Both of which evolved into professional certifications that now allow me to teach and guide others.

After graduating, I joined the Peace Corps and worked in Peru as a Water and Sanitation Volunteer. Peace Corps was fascinating and I enjoyed the ups and downs and who I became as a result of the experience. Information about projects I did can be found under the tab The Engineer. When I finished my service, I returned to Iowa for a bit before making my way to Seattle where I began working for SvR | MIG focusing on Water Resource designs.
I enjoy being physically active with biking, yoga, Ultimate Frisbee. I played with the Disc NW league in Seattle for 6 years.
In 2019 I moved to Hood River, OR where my partner and I embarked on reviving an old vineyard and starting a small organic farm called Post Pedal Farm, Llc. While in Hood River, I have also gotten involved with The Next Door, where I advocate to provide migrant and seasonal farmworkers with life essentials and important information around COVID-19.
- In 2014 I played competitively with a women's club team, Underground. We went to Nationals where we moved up from 15th to 12th over the course of the tournament!
- In 2015 and 2016 I played on mixed gender club teams, All Aboard and Bullet Train.
- In 2016 and 2017 I played on the Women's Master's team.
